Troubleshooting Guide

How the Alarm Works

The alarm activates whenever a child is sitting in the car seat. Here's what to expect:

  • 2 beeps indicate the alarm is active.
    • If the vehicle is turned on before placing the child in the seat, the 2 beeps sound immediately.
    • If the child is placed in the seat first and then the vehicle is started, the 2 beeps will sound within 3 minutes.
  • 3 beeps sound when a child is removed from the car seat while the vehicle is still running — indicating the alarm is no longer active.
  • When the vehicle is turned off with a child in the seat, the alarm will beep for approximately 25 seconds and then shut off automatically.

If you are using the seat belt sensor: the alarm will sound as soon as the driver unbuckles their seat belt.

The battery life for the sensor disc is approximately 4 years under normal conditions. You will hear 5 beeps to indicate a low battery.

Common Issues & Solutions

Alarm Is Not Working

  • Check your 12V port to make sure it has power.
  • Verify that the sensor disc is in the correct position.
  • Press the sensor disc down firmly with your hand to test if it responds properly.

Alarm Beeps 2 Times Then 3 Times While Driving

  • Check that the sensor disc is positioned correctly under the child.
  • Ensure your child is properly strapped into the car seat.

Alarm Beeps When Vehicle Is Turned Off — No Child in Seat

  • Check if anything is pressing down on the sensor disc (e.g., a toy, blanket, or bag).
  • Note: Removing the car seat with the baby still inside while the vehicle is running will still trigger the alarm when the vehicle is shut off.
